Day wise Itinerary

DAY 1

Arrive Chandigarh

Arrive Chandigarh airport. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Later visit: Rock Garden: Chandigarh rock garden is an epitome of creativity and innovation. It is a unique garden that consists of various art objects. But the best part about the rock garden is that each of its artwork has been made by using industrial & urban waste. It is located in Sector 1 between the Capitol Complex and Sukhna Lake. The credit for laying its foundation goes to Nek Chand, who was the then Road Inspector in the Engineering Department of Chandigarh Capital Project. Rose garden of Chandigarh, India is the largest of its kind in Asia. Named after India's former President, Zakir Hussain, this beautiful garden was set up in 1967 with the support of Chandigarh's first Chief Commissioner, late Dr. M S Randhawa. Chandigarh rose garden contains more than 17,000 plants. There are nearly 1,600 varieties of roses over there. It is a spacious garden covering an area of 27 acres. Return back to the Hotel. DAY 2

Chandigarh – Manali (309 km - 7 hours 24 mins)

After breakfast, check-out from hotel and drive to Manali, en-route visit Kullu :- Rafting has captured great interests of tourists visiting Manali & Kullu. For adventure enthusiasts rafting has a splashing promise to deliver. The mighty river Beas along with its tributaries offer irresistible excitement to adventure lovers. The fascinating rafting sites of Mohal, Raison & Katrain offer wonderful grades & fun. Later drive to Manali. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight at hotel

DAY 3

Manali

After breakfast, later visit:-:-Hadimba Temple - Built in 1553, this four-story wooden Hadimba or Dhungiri temple is famous for its exquisitely caved doorway. It is located in the middle of a forest called the Dhungiri Van Vihar.. Jagatsuhk - About 6 kms. from Manali is the famous Shiva Temple in "shikara" style. It houses temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and Sandhya Gayatri. Vashist Hot Water Springs and Temple (3 kms) - Across the Beas river is Vashist, a small village with natural sulphur springs. Modern bathhouses, with Turkish-style showers, have the hot water piped into them for the convenience of the visitors who come here to benefit from the medicinal properties. There is a pyramidal stone temple dedicated to Vashist Muni and another Temple of Lord Ram. Evening shop at the Mall Road. Return back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 4

Manali

After breakfast, visit Solang Valley & Snow Point- On Direct Payment - Situated about 51 km from Manali town at an altitude of 4,111 meters (13,400 ft.) on the highway to Keylong, is Rohtang Pass. There is a beautiful Doshohar Lake left to the pass, where pilgrims go every year on the auspicious day of 20th Bhadon. The pass is open from June to September each year although trekkers can across the pass a little earlier. Rohtang pass is the gateway to Lahaul valley just as Zojila pass in between Kashmir valley and Ladakh. Return back to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 5

Manali – Dharamshala (235 km - 6 hours 21 mins)

After breakfast, check-out from hotel and drive to Dharamshala. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight at hotel

DAY 6

Dharamshala – Dalhousie (130 km - 4 hours)

After breakfast, check-out from hotel and visit take a tour of Dharamshala- which stands on a spur of the Dhauladhar range amidst magnificent deodar and pine forests, tea gardens and beautiful hills. It is also known as 'The Lhasa in India'. Later drive to visit MCLEOD GANJ :- The arrival of the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, along with thousands of refugees to Dharamshala in 1959 made the life here more active. As Dharamshala became the headquarter of the Tibetan Government in exile, headed by Dalai Lama, it gained prominence all over the world and prominent personalities started arriving here. Mcleadganj emerged as a major Buddhist centre. ST.JOHN'S CHURCH : ( 8 km. from Dharamshala town ) The church lies in the forest between Mcleod Ganj and Forsyth Ganj. It. The Church has lovely spotted glass windows and there is a Christian cemetery around it. It is ideally situated in the majestic 'Deodar' forest. Later, drive to Dalhousie, Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight at hotel

DAY 7

Dalhousie

After breakfast, and later drive to visit following:-PANCHPULA : Panchpula, a beautiful spot, is barely 3 kms. from G.P.O. On the way to Panchpula is Satdhara springs gurgling with refreshing water, believed to contain some medicinal properties. Panchpula stream is the main source of water supply to Dalhousie and Bahloon. The stream springs from the north side of DayanKund and runs down a picturesque ravine to the waterworks of Panchpula. There is an elegant monument erected at Panchpula where several streams meet at one point. This monument, a samadhi was built in memory of great revolutionary Sardar Ajit Singh who breathed his last in Panchpula. There is a Tourism restaurant and several chai shops in Panchpula, that offer hot and cold beverages and snacks. SUBHASH BAOLI : Just approximately 1 km from G.P.O. is a charming natural spot called Subhash Baoli. Neta ji Subhash Chander Bose during his 7 months sojourn in Dalhousie in 1937 is believed to have spent most of his days by the side of this water body, meditating amidst dense woods of Cedar and meeting his party workers. This place lies on the G.P.O. - Jandri Gaht Road. A canopy with seating facilities has been created by the local administration at this place. Afternoon take an excursion to Khajjar & Chamba :-KHAJJAR 20 kms from Dalhousie popularly known as the mini Swiss for its snowcapped mountains and pine trees.A little golden-spired temple of Khajjinag belonging to the 12th century and a picturesque golf course adds to the exquisite beauty of this pretty spot ) . Enjoy the greenery, take a horse ride. CHAMBA is dotted with magnificently carved temples, palaces and buildings that you should visit. The Laxmi Narayan Temple, the main temple of Chamba is a great work of art, built in a shikhara style. Within the same complex, visit the Temple of Radhakrishna, Champavati Temple,Shiva Temple and Gauri Shanker Temple.Vajreshwari Temple, dedicated to the Goddess of Lightning, Vajreshwari Sui Mata Temple ,located atop the hill of Shah Madar, is a beautiful place to visit. The Akhand Chandi Palace, belonging to the Chamba Family, is a beautiful work of art, with its glass work, fine woodwork and painted walls. Also visit the Rang Mahal, said to be one of the largest monuments, built after the Mughal and British style of architecture. Return back to the Hotel. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

DAY 8

Dalhousie – Chandigarh (260 km - 6 hous 30 min)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and to Chandigarh airport to board the flight for onwards the journey with fond memories of trip. Tour Ends..(All distances and timings are approx.)
